Cocktails and Conversation: Carlos Zamora

Laumeier Sculpture Park in Sunset Hills welcomes 2019 Kranzberg Exhibiton artist Carlos Zamora to its Conversation Series this Thursday evening to discuss his work, embedded in the context of Cuban poster design. Come for cocktails, mingling and the inauguration of the show “Carlos Zamora: cART.”

City Nights at City Museum

For just four evenings this summer (July 25, Aug. 1, Aug. 8 and Aug. 15), the City Museum opens its doors late for City Nights, an adults-only party on the rooftop, 11 stories in the air. Explore The Roof’s nooks and crannies, sip beer from 4 Hands Brewing Co., enjoy live music and entertainment, shop local artists and makers and more. Space is limited, so even if you buy tickets in advance, be sure to arrive on time to secure your spot.

Reel Late: ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’

In “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World,” Michael Cera is Scott Pilgrim, an apathetic bass guitarist who must defeat his dream girl’s seven evil exes in order to date her (and to stay alive). Escape the heat into the historic Tivoli Theatre in The Delmar Loop this weekend for two midnight showings of this hilarious modern cult classic, also starring Anna Kendrick, Kieran Culkin and Jason Schwartzmann.

STL Brewers’ Picnic

Kick off this year’s St. Louis Craft Beer Week right at the Brewers’ Picnic, an evening block party on Locust Street in Downtown St. Louis. Sample craft beer from breweries like Rockwell Beer Company, Mother’s Brewing Company, 4 Hands Brewing Company, 2nd Shift Brewing and more, and fill up on bites from a special menu by Baileys’ Restaurants. Invest $35 in the VIP experience for unlimited tastings and a food voucher at the concessions stand.

Street Art Pop-Up Party

Emerging street artists take over the Craft Alliance galleries this Friday in The Delmar Loop for a night of creativity, including experimental video games, live mural painting, DIY silk-screening and more. Attendees at the Street Art Pop-Up Party will also have the chance to shop new collections from local artists like Daniel Burnett, Mr. Switch, Eye Gato, Mary Ruth Butterworth, Travis Lawrence and Sirus Fountain.

Pool Party

The Last Hotel, Downtown‘s newly remodeled gem, invites you to come chill by the pool during a vintage-inspired kickoff party for the Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s Fifth Anniversary. On Sunday afternoon, dress to impress for summery cocktails, appetizers, tunes, photo opportunities and swimming. Your ticket includes a complimentary cocktail, beer from Brooklyn Brewery, snacks, a tequila tasting and more. Proceeds from raffle tickets, games and the cash bar benefit the Fashion Fund, providing education and resources to aspiring designers and creatives of all ages.
