Upcoming Shows at the .ZACK in Grand Center Arts District

 In Culture, Guide

Part of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, the .ZACK has served as the location for some of the city’s most innovative theatrical performances, as well as art shows, concerts and more, fulfilling the Kranzberg’s original vision for the space as a multi-use creative facility. Upcoming events include the Art & Soul Live Exhibit on Sept. 2, which will feature three floors of themed arts entertainment—think visual artists painting live, bands and craft vendors.

Later September brings a production of the new Rob Urbinati play, “Mama’s Boy,” as well as a performance by comedian Monique Marvez. The latter also doubles as a charity event benefiting Dogs For Our Brave, a nonprofit organization that seeks to pair rescued service dogs with veterans and service members at no cost.

It’s also not uncommon for performers and guests to co-mingle at one of several bars and shops housed at the .ZACK. You may find them trying out the legendary biscuits at Turn by David Kirkland (one of St. Louis’ finest chefs), sipping a specialty cocktail at Sophie’s Artist Lounge and Cocktail Club or nostalgically perusing new and used vinyl, CDs and even cassette tapes at the Music Record Shop.
