The Clover And The Bee

 In Feature, Food

This utterly delightful Webster Groves cafe, bakery and coffee shop is an uplifting treat for a palate in need of some rejuvenation. Venture to The Clover And The Bee for the egg cup with potato parsnip puree and a matcha latte in the morning for a protein-fueled breakfast that’ll power you through the day—or opt for a more decadent option with the pearl sugar bubble waffle and spiced blueberry syrup, which is to die for. You can even request maple-glazed bacon for an added treat.

The venue also offers a seasonal dinner menu, featuring smoked flank steak with warm mashed potatoes for the hearty meat-lover or roasted asparagus with almond pesto for vegetarians. Try the pistachio dip with whipped goat cheese or bacon-wrapped dates with blue-cheese mousse to start.

The restaurant’s social media also shows the care and craft that goes into each meal and ingredient, including house-cured pastrami and fried biscuits rolled in lemon honey, cinnamon and sugar, with the adept caption, “They’re effing delicious!” Or, if you’re just in need of a hot cup of coffee, chai latte or warm drink to carry you through the day, head over to the walk-up coffee window for a to-go drink. For us, a thoughtful cup of coffee in the morning, or any time of day, can make all the difference.
