The annual St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) returns for its 25th anniversary to silver screens across the Gateway City, bringing with it the artistic features from 72 different countries.

The festival begins with an homage to ale in “St. Louis Brews,” complete with complimentary beers from one of SLIFF’s sponsors, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. Also featured is the Show-Me Cinema Showcase, which includes films with St. Louis and Missouri connections. Once again, the festival will also continue to include responses to the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson with timely features regarding race in America.

Other categories include festival-award winners, the Free Human Rights Showcase, kid-friendly films, documentaries and several shorts, among others.

The festival runs November 3-13 at various venues across the area. Tickets can be purchased as singles, a bundle package or an all-access pass; there are several free events, as well. Find a full listing of films and venues on the SLIFF website.
