Parlor St. Louis: A Hidden Gem In The Grove Neighborhood

 In Feature, Food

This local bar opened in St. Louis during the latter portion of 2017 and offers patrons a neighborhood drink experience alongside a trove of nostalgia: a full arcade. The arcade at Parlor includes 14 old-school arcade games, four pinball machines, three Skee-Ball lanes and a pool table, for a kind of Blueberry Hill-meets-Chuck-E.-Cheese-vibe for grownups.

With wood-paneled floors, classic round bar stools and exposed-brick walls, the bar’s charming charisma calls a “Cheers”-esque feeling to memory, all perfectly situated in The Grove neighborhood. Food at Parlor includes a food truck from local chicken delicatessen Byrd & Barrel, whose infamous Buttermilk Fried Nugz can be ordered in light or dark meat. Stalwart beer-lovers will feel at home with the drink menu, alongside lighter cocktails adorned with colorful little umbrellas or a sliced lemon.

Patrons can also frequently catch live music from local artists, often announced via the venue’s social-media outlets to keep fans aware of all the goings-on at Parlor.
