Lusso: A Clayton Boutique Where Everything Is Hand-Selected for Its Style
The team at Lusso promises there’s nothing else in St. Louis quite like their boutique, and we wholeheartedly agree. Co-owners Melissa Nieberle, Drea Ranek, Maeghan Moeller and Kristen Zivic seek out merchandise they’d want in their own homes, whether it’s chic clothing, designer jewelry, holiday-themed candy, clever kitchenware or sports-themed gear. (They had a field day with Blues caps and shirts leading up to the Stanley Cup championship.)
But there’s more to Lusso than pretty products. The shopping experience is like setting out on a treasure hunt in a friendly pirate’s lair, often with a free drink in hand, and coming upon chest after chest of beautiful bounty. The owners aren’t afraid to take a risk or poke a little fun at social decorum—a pleasant perspective at a luxury shop that’s right across the street from the upscale Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Coming up on its 20-year anniversary in 2020, Lusso continues to be delightfully unpredictable. Customers are as likely to fall in love with a silicone sushi teether set as a faux leather skirt or an Atelier Swarovski vase. What unites it all? A strong sense of style. The owners have honed their brand with care and thoughtfulness, and it shows.
