Can’t Cook? These St. Louis Eateries Have Your Thanksgiving Dinner Fully Covered

 In Food, Guide

Thanksgiving dinner is a huge endeavor: There’s a massive turkey, countless sides and who knows how many pies. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine how to accomplish all of that without a full-service restaurant kitchen.

Luckily, St. Louis does have a number of full-service restaurant kitchens that are ready to take some or all of the holiday cooking out of your hands — leaving you more time to fill your plate.

1/ Truffles
Another year, another delicious Thanksgiving from Truffles. The butchery side of the business is ready to lend you a helping hand with its free-range turkeys (raised in Missouri), while the restaurant side provides an assortment of mouthwatering dishes including traditional cranberry sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts and mashed sweet potatoes. Sides are available for groups of 4-6 or 8-10.

2/ Cielo
Cielo wants to bring the Four Seasons experience to your dining room with its sumptuous spread, delivered right to your door. The restaurant’s meal, which will serve up to 10 people, includes a whole-roasted free range turkey, sage giblet gravy, orange cranberry sauce, roasted sweet potato purée, roasted Brussel sprouts, whipped potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry apple pie and pumpkin pecan pie. The $295 price tag is worth it, because you’ll never be able to recreate those amazing dishes on your own.

3/ Pumpernickles
This Creve Coeur deli, which says it aims for “Jewish Kosher soul food,” is gearing up for the holiday with its own carry-out meal. Pumpernickles is adding its own twist to some old standbys, including challah stuffing with the turkey, pumpkin spice cupcakes and sweet potato pie knishes, in addition to the traditional cranberry sauce and sweet potato casserole. Order the whole meal or only a few items; Pumpernickles promises to have what you crave.

4/ Sugarfire Pie
If you’re in charge of the pies this year and your first thought was canned fruit and frozen crusts, just stop right there. Before committing the ultimate dessert sin, head to Sugarfire Pie to pick up a couple delicious hand-crafted treats. Whether you go for apple crumb, pecan, bacon-apple-cheddar or red velvet gooey butter pies, your addition to the Thanksgiving spread will be applauded. Just check for flavor availability before promising specific pies to your loved ones!
