Beer And Barbecue At Earthbound Beer & Mothership On Cherokee Street

 In Feature, Food

The eclectic Earthbound Beer pub on Cherokee Street, with a rotating selection of vibrant brews, teamed up with Chris Bork at Vista Ramen for a partnership that creates the perfect atmosphere for a weekend bite and brew.

Co-founded by Stuart Keating, Rebecca Schranz and Jeff Siddons, with the addition of a culinary component they’ve now dubbed the locale “Earthbound Beer & Mothership,” as Bork brings the “Mothership” portion to life. The specialty menu that includes some of Vista Ramen’s flare with a new barbecue-infused, soul food twist. Start out with the cornbread served with gochujang honey butter, or the smoked kiełbasa—a traditional Polish and Ukrainian sausage—served with onion, yellow mustard and pork rinds, on a bun. Also make sure to try out Earthbound’s many flavors of beer, from the Session Ale to the Thai Basil IPA, or even the Jasmine Gose.

While soul food often leans on the side of meat-centric, the menu also includes a delicious veggie burger, served with fontina, kewpie mayo, lettuce and red onion on a bun. Or opt for the smoked-turkey pita with sumac, pickles and yogurt, or the barbecue plate. Prices range from $4-$13, for an artisan-crafted lunch that feels like a far pricier treat. The venue is open Fridays from 5 to 10 p.m. as well as Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 to 10 p.m.
