We’ve clued you in to the hidden secrets that await you at St. Louis Union Station in Downtown St. Louis, but we know you’re in need of more local trivia. So we’ve teamed up with The Cheshire to offer you a few more tidbits you may not have known about this recently renovated property.

1/ Forest Park Adventures
Located across an intersection from Forest Park, adventure is just a short walk or shuttle ride away. To make the experience even easier, The Cheshire offers several packages that highlight some of the park’s gems. The Muny Ticket Package offers a free shuttle ride, drinks at the Fox and Hounds and two tickets to the evening’s show. The Zoo Safari Package opens you up to a whole day of fun at the zoo, with a luxurious room to welcome you back at the end of the day.

2/ Novelty suites
Did you know you could score a Treasure Island suite right here in St. Louis? What about a seriously mod James Bond room? The novelty suites—six in all—are named after well-loved, classic novels, and all feature corresponding features, like the Far East decor and feel in the Passage to India suite.

3/ The Pool
On weekends in May through September, the Cheshire’s pool is the place to be—even if you didn’t happen to book an exclusive poolside room. After sampling a few snacks and drinks at one of The Cheshire’s bars, St. Louisans can lay out at the lush poolside terrace or take a dip in the clear, cool water—once they’ve waited the appropriate amount of time post-nibbles.

4/ Quiet Getaways
Want to have a slow, relaxing evening but don’t want to go to all the work of creating the perfect picnic to take to the park? The Cheshire can take over in the kitchen and even give help you get there. Guests can rent bikes from the hotel for free for up to three hours at a time. In that time, feel free to lay out a blanket and enjoy the spread provided by the hotel’s gourmet kitchens.
