Your Spring Shopping Checklist

It’s a beautiful 70 degrees here in the Lou and we don’t know about you, but our spring fever—specifically our spring shopping fever—has officially hit. Let’s be honest, most of us who are die-hard fashionistas have been stocking our wardrobes with spring merch for a while now, but for those that are looking to reign it in and only shop the necessities, here’s a few things on our must-have shopping list:

Spring 2016 Shopping List

1/ The Bomber Jacket: Chances are, you already have a bomber in your arsenal, but if you don’t, head to the closest thrift shop (or your brother/father/boyfriend’s closet) and snag a sporty option that is as essential as a denim jacket.

2/ The Wide-Leg Pant: Layered under a tunic for an over-sized silhouette, or with a cropped poplin and slides for a edgy day look, the wide leg trouser is a breezy and stylish option as the temps are on the rise.

3/ The Off-the-Shoulder Blouse: Not to be confused with last year’s “cold shoulder” trend, which featured cut-outs, the off-the-shoulder blouse shows off your clavicle in the most stylish way possible. Wear these tops with virtually everything to look immediately pulled together.

4/ The Wrap Skirt: A wrap skirt is an easy way to add an architectural edge to even the easiest look. Throw on a wrap skirt in a length of your choice with a flat sandal, a tee and a bomber over your shoulders to ease your way right into summer.

5/ The Ruffle Dress: Ruffles are not only for the girly girls anymore. Pair a ruffled dress with a choker and ankle boots for a look that’s all girl-grunge.

6/ A Signature Metallic Accessory: Whether it’s a fab bag or a metallic loafer, all of the aforementioned trends will pop with the addition of a key piece in an attention-grabbing shade of metal.
