Yoga Buzz Rolls Out the Red Mats for a Non-Traditional Gala (Plus More STL Yoga News)

On March 27, yoga enthusiasts will gather at the Chase Park Plaza for a gala that’s all about the practice. The Maplewood-based nonprofit Yoga Buzz is taking over the entire top floor of the St. Louis landmark for an evening of  fundraising and posing—and not just for the cameras. Attendees will be able to take part in an all-levels yoga class led by Yoga Buzz founder Elle Potter, enjoy the tunes of DJ Jillian and snack on food from STL establishments such as Sugarfire Smoke House, Schlafly and Ices Plain and Fancy.

There’s also a silent auction and a raffle that raises money for the Yoga Buzz scholarship fund, offering full-ride, need-based “scholarships” to local studios for new yoga students. A portion of ticket revenue will also be donated to Camp Ferguson.

In addition, Yoga Buzz will be hosting free yoga throughout April at lululemon (26 Maryland Plaza) and yoga-and-brew events at Perennial on April 6 and the AB Biergarten on April 15. The organization will also be offering free 45-minute classes during the St. Louis Earth Day festival at Forest Park on April 26.

Tickets for the event are capped at 300 and can be purchased online at Yoga Buzz.
