Where Creatives Stay: Ace Hotel Chicago
This warm, vibrant hotel in the center of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood is full of character and creativity, located just across the street from Chicago’s Google headquarters. A hotbed of energy, you’ll find artists, writers, actors, activists and other creatives at Ace Hotel Chicago when passing through the Windy City. The hotel also has a thriving events calendar, hosting everything from live music to stand-up comedy. The current art show on view, called “Skiptracing,” is a solo exhibition by artist Noël Morical, whose beautifully crafted wall hangings and weavings are made using the knotting technique of macramé.
Once you’ve had your fill of inspiration, head up to the rooftop bar and lounge for cocktails and conversation. According to our editors—and the hotel’s website—the local hotspot is the perfect place to enjoy everything from “rollicking soirees to the tender nightcap,” while you take in expansive views of the city, including an exceptional look at the downtown skyline.
