For many people, Thanksgiving is a break from the rigors of everyday life — a magical day when when you’re encouraged to eat copious amounts of carb-laden foods while being surrounded by your loved ones. So why not double-dip with your celebrations?
The “Friendsgiving” movement has been taking off in recent years as a Thanksgiving-style celebration with pals instead of family members. Below, check out a few of the many Friendsgiving events that are planned for the St. Louis area this month.
1/ 4 Hands Brewing Co.

4 Hands Brewing Co. is preparing for Wednesday, November 16, when its annual Friendsgiving tradition will take place. 4 Hands brings the turkey, you bring the sides. As always, there’s plenty of food for everyone.

The Hideaway invites you to a Friendsgiving feast on Thursday, November 17. Featuring holiday-themed cocktails and Oliver Johnson on piano, The Hideaway provides turkey, sides and desserts to attendees. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite dishes.
