The Strange Donuts crew continues to expand with the highly anticipated opening of Strange Trap Kitchen today. Located inside Brennan’s in Central West End, the new pop-up kitchen will be open from 7-11am Tuesday-Friday and feature new and inventive flavor combinations with the help of chef Mary Boehne. The ever-changing menus and local business collaborations at the different locations are always exciting and delicious. So in celebration of the first Strange Trap Kitchen, we decided to share the top five doughnuts we are craving this week.

1/ Maple Bacon—Anyone who has been to the #DoneZone knows the famous maple-glazed, bacon-coated doughnut is the perfect sweet and savory treat.

2/ New and exclusive to Strange Trap Kitchen today, the white chocolate and cranberry coulis cake doughnut with walnut brittle makes our mouths water.

3/ It wouldn’t be local without the gooey butter cake, which is the famous St. Louis dessert put into doughnut form. What’s not to love?

4/ Announced via social media last week, the brûléed bananas foster doughnut is also one of the four exclusive offerings to guests at Strange Trap Kitchen today, and one that will likely sell out fast.

5/ Chicken and Waffle—While this is not a regular Stranger on the menu, the yeast doughnut waffle paired with friend chicken and topped with butter is an original favorite that fans can’t wait to see again.

Strange Trap Kitchen’s menu will differ from the Kirkwood and Maplewood Strange Donuts locations and will be open from 7-11am Tuesday-Friday. 4659 Maryland Plaza, Central West End.
