Based on the best-selling Alison Bechdel graphic memoir of the same name, “Fun Home” is a highlight of the Fabulous Fox Theatre’s 2016-17 season. Only sixteen months after the musical garnered five awards—including Best Musical—at the 2015 Tony Awards, “Fun Home” is set to run in St. Louis Nov. 15-27 as part of its national tour.

Introducing audiences to Alison at three different ages—as a child, college student and adult—”Fun Home” is a theatrical experience that allows audiences to look through the eyes of Alison as she reflects on the moments crucial to her own development.

Called “extraordinary, a rare beauty that pumps fresh air into Broadway” by The New York Times and “a blazingly original heartbreaker and a nonstop treasure of invention” by Newsday, the musical deals with the exploration of the complexities and mysteries of Alison’s childhood, divulging memories of her uniquely dysfunctional family.

“Fun Home” is a refreshingly honest musical about seeing the ones you love through now-mature, grown-up eyes. The production features music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Lisa Kron and direction by Sam Gold, a trio whose work secured them awards at the 2015 Tony’s for Best Score, Best Book and Best Direction.

Tickets for the musical are now available for purchase, and can be had for as low as $20. Group pricing is available for groups of 15 or more attending the same performance. For more information regarding group pricing, visit the Fox Theatre Group service department webpage or email Student pricing is also available.

Performances of “Fun Home” at the Fox Theatre run November 15-27: Tuesdays-Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 7:30pm, Sundays at 1pm & 6:30pm. There is a 1pm matinee on Thursday, Nov. 17. There will be no performance on Thanksgiving.
