Three of the city’s top chefs have announced their individual luxury culinary cruises through the 2015-2016 Cruising with the Chefs tours. Gian Nicola Colucci, executive chef of the Four Seasons St. Louis, Josh Galliano of The Libertine, and Lou Rook of Annie Gunn’s will each host a weeklong culinary cruise.

The chefs will lead interactive cooking classes and port excursions to local markets, wineries and restaurants, in addition to more in-depth tours at select ports. At local markets, the host chefs and cruise guests source local, fresh ingredients for on-board instruction, creating dishes that reveal a country’s indigenous culinary traditions and the chefs’ innovations. Galliano’s tour will travel from Copenhagen to Stockholm on Aug. 14-21, 2015, Rook’s from Barcelona to Rome on Sept. 14-24, 2015, and Colucci’s from New Zealand to Tahiti in February 2016. Cruising with the Chefs is a national company based in St. Louis, founded and run by Rodney and Lisa George.

Celebrated chef Kevin Nashan of Sidney Street Cafe and the recently opened Peacemaker Lobster & Crab Co. had a chance to show off his culinary chops on the Esquire Network’s “Knife Fight.” The show pits two chefs against each other to create multiple dishes within one hour with surprise ingredients, and is hosted by “Top Chef” winner Ilan Hall. Nashan, a James Beard Award nominee, faced off against chef Harold Moore of New York City earlier this year. The episode airs this Tuesday, Sept. 2.
