This Week's Dish: The Slider House to Serve Mini Gourmet Variety in Rock Hill
Prepare to dive into a mountain of sliders at St. Louis’ soon-to-be first The Slider House. As reported by St. Louis Magazine, the Nashville-based dining destination for “gourmet variety in little buns” will be coming to Rock Hill in the former Altai Mongolian Grill space. This will only be the second spot aside from the Tennessee home base. Not only will you find sliders in many forms on the menu, you can also enjoy more than 50 different canned beers. The new restaurant is expected to arrive in November. 9528 Manchester Road, Rock Hill
Cherokee Street is going to get some Asian flair added to its eclectic food and arts scene. On the heels of recent announcements of a few other ramen shops coming to town, former Blood & Sand executive chef Chris Bork will be teaming up Mud House owners Jeremy and Casey Miller to open Vista Ramen. With ramen a top item served, there will be a variety of other Asian-inspired cuisines as well. 2609 Cherokee St., Cherokee
St. Louis will be getting its first Mellow Mushroom in the Sunset Hills neighborhood. The Atlanta-based pizza chain is well-known across the Southeast region for its made-to-order stone baked pizzas and an vibrantly decorated atmosphere. The new restaurant will open in the spot that once housed Growler’s Pub and is expected to open in Spring 2016. 3811 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
City Park Grill is now open for business in Tower Grove South. Co-owners Rob Pennington and Blake Urbani demolished the former Tin Can Tavern and have built a new space for their new neighborhood restaurant to call home. The menu includes a variety of creative takes on classic shareables such as kale and artichoke dip and Sweet City Skins, which is a sweet potato in place the regular spud topped with cheese, bacon and green onion. The rest of the menu features a variety of salads, burgers and sandwiches to pair alongside local beer and house cocktails. 3157 Morganford Road, Tower Grove South
