This Week’s Dish: Sardella Hosts Pop-Up Lunch on Seoul Taco Truck

 In Food

Gerard Craft is introducing the public to his newest venture, Sardella, on the road with Seoul Taco’s red truck today. The James Beard award-winning chef/owner has already been giving tastes of the restaurant with pop-up dinners, but will be boarding the truck to offer a lunch sneak peek at the new, seasonal Italian restaurant opening in the former Niche space. The truck will be out from 11am-2pm, so keep an eye out for this one-day lunch break. This second food truck for Seoul Taco owner David Choi, which launched this summer, also serves as a way to give back to the STL community. On Mondays—including the Sardella pop-up today—all purchases benefit the St. Louis MetroMarket, a mobile farmers’ market on a transformed city bus that gives access to healthy, affordable food in St. Louis City food deserts.

“Our pop-up dinners have given our team invaluable feedback as we prepare to open next month,” Craft said. “By partnering with David and Seoul Taco, we’re able to take our food out into the community and see what they think. The fact that all the proceeds benefit a great cause makes it even more fun.”

Last week, Katie and Ted Collier signed a lease on an office warehouse space that is going to serve as the headquarters for their home pizza and pasta kits. They will be calling the service VERO PASTO, which means means “real meal,” to deliver fresh ingredients for pizza and pasta straight to your door. Each kit will come with a recipe card, and a YouTube video by Katie to help you create the flavorful dishes from the comfort of your home. 9568 Manchester Road, Rock Hill
