This Week's Dish: Niche Food Group to Bring Pastaria to Nashville

Last week turned into a big week for Niche Food Group. A day after the culinary team from all of chef/owner Gerard Craft’s dining spots celebrated the 10th anniversary of Niche, news broke that Pastaria will be landing a second location in Nashville next summer.

“I always say that Pastaria belongs to the people who showed us around Italy, and the people who invited us into their kitchens and homes,” Craft said. “The menu at Pastaria tells their stories, but now, it also shares the memories of our amazing St. Louis guests over the past three years. Our Nashville guests will be the next chapter in that storyline. Pastaria is a place where you come in with your family, a group of friends, or a date and enjoy an amazing meal at an affordable price.”

This will be the first city outside of St. Louis to experience the James Beard Award-winning chef’s menu from organic pastas to Neapolitan-style pizzas, wood oven entrees and his famous gelato. 8 C1TY Blvd., Nashville

Doughocracy, The Loop’s newest pizza destination, opened last week in the former Ziezo boutique space. The menu features 32 toppings to create your own ‘za, or choose from the signature pie menu, ranging from classics like the Margherita to unusual like the Spaghetti & Meatball—and yes, there’s real pasta on it. This is the first location to open from Chicago Franchise Systems. A second location is slated to open outside Chicago in Geneva, Illinois. 6394 Delmar Blvd., The Loop

Take a journey through coffee-infused dishes at Bixby’s. Inspired by the Missouri History Museum’s caffeine-filled exhibit, “Coffee: The World in Your Cup & St. Louis in Your Cup,” guests can enjoy the limited-edition lunch menu featuring Kaldi’s Coffee through Jan. 3. A multi-course dinner with cocktail and coffee pairings will take place on Nov. 10. The cost is $70 for non-members and $60 for Missouri History Museum Members.
