Tickets went on sale last week for the first pop-up of Gerard Craft’s new concept, Sardella. The James Beard award-winning chef-owner recently closed his flagship restaurant, Niche, to open the new creative Italian concept in the same space later this summer. The pop-up meal will include a four-course meal made by Craft’s team including executive chef Nick Blue and executive pastry chef Sarah Osborn. The meals will be taking place at Porano Pasta on Thursday, July 7 and Friday, July 8, with limited seatings starting at 7pm for $66 with optional wine pairings. 7734 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton

You’re soon to have a new, quick lunch destination. Mayana Mexican Kitchen is celebrating its grand opening in Clayton this Friday, July 8. Coming from co-owners Alex Rodriguez de Torres and John Rodriguez of Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Rock Hill, the new restaurant will combine bold Mexican flavors with traditional recipes all while accommodating to your busy schedule. Another highly anticipated opening is finally here as Kounter Kulture arrives tomorrow in the former Pint Size Bakery space. July 4: If you are still looking for something to do for the Fourth, consider EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery’s Fourth of July bash complete with barbecue, beer, wine, live music and more starting at 5pm. July 10: Southern is celebrating a year in business as well as National Fried Chicken Day with Southern Fried Chicken Festival at 4 Hands Brewing Co. this Sunday.
