Saturday, Dec. 7: Just in time for prime holiday party season, join chef Colleen Johnson in Scape‘s pastry and exhibition kitchen for a hands-on holiday cookie class. Learn to make holiday sugar cut-out cookies, raspberry-hazelnut linzer cookies, Scape’s famous chocolate chip cookies, French macarons, snickerdoodles and pecan snowballs. Tuesday, Dec 10: Celebrate the season with the craft brewing community at the annual St. Louis Brewers’ Holiday Party from 6pm-9pm, hosted by Table and Perennial Artisan Ales. Proceeds from this year’s $30 ticket price will benefit St. Louis Haven House, and guests are encouraged to donate additional items to the organization including unwrapped gifts, personal care items, gift certificates, games, puzzles, cleaning supplies and cold weather clothing. As part of Table’s annual gift drive, customers who bring an approved donation to Haven House before Jan. 1 will receive a complimentary bottle of wine to take home with them.

Ted Drewes and Drunken Fish are the latest tenants to sign on at Ballpark Village, joining Anheuser-Busch, PBR and Howl At The Moon piano bar chain. The latest update on the progress of the development is that it will be finished by opening day 2014—just in time to enjoy an iconic concrete in celebration of baseball season.
