This Week's Dish: Copper Pig Begins Dinner Service in Southampton

Copper Pig began dinner service last week in the increasingly popular Macklind Business District of the Southampton neighborhood. Owner Nhat Nguyen brings an Asian-meets-Southern menu with offerings ranging from a cheesesteak made of bulgogi beef, kimchi and cheddar to a fried, whole red snapper served with soffrito rice, maduros, chili-tamarind sauce and cilantro.

The kids even have a special menu that adults would enjoy like the bulgogi grilled cheese. There’s plenty of local influence on and off the menu as well with Clementine’s Naughty and Nice Ice creams on the dessert menu. Local 3-D design studio Collab even teamed up with South City’s Urban Matter to create one-of-a-kind lighting for the space. Artisan sausages and hand-cut fries will be on the next food truck to roll through town. Frankly Sausages will be run by chef Bill Cawthon and his wife Jamie. Nov. 4: Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will be opening two new St. Louis area locations this week.
