This Week's Dish: Chef Gerard Craft's Recipes Featured in Midwest Living

Nov. 12: The award-winning Tony’s Restaurant is planning two prix-fixe dinners this Wednesday as well as on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6:30pm. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal of fine Italian fare at the special rate of $50 per person. 410 Market St., Downtown,  314.231.7007.

Nov. 12: Support the International Institute’s efforts to assist refugees by dining out for a cause with the Feast of Nations this Wednesday from 6-8pm. Several local restaurants will be participating, including The Kitchen Sink, Mango Peruvian Cuisine and more.

Nov. 15: Join Perennial for its 4th annual fundraiser, Lost + F(o)und, this Saturday from 7-11pm at the Centene Center for the Arts and Education. The county fair-inspired evening will feature homemade pie (and a contest), Pi Pizzeria, an up-cycled craft station and more to benefit Perennial and its mission to build creative culture of sustainability.  3547 Olive Street, Midtown.

Nov. 22: The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis will be hosting a holiday cooking class featuring some of its distinguished panel of chefs’ favorite recipes along with celebrity guest chef Jayshree Nathoo. From 8am-1pm on Saturday, Nov. 22, participants will be able to create a world-class tasting menu ranging from Indian to French cuisine and then enjoy the meal together. 100 Carondelet Plaza, Clayton, 314.863.6300.

Gerard Craft, chef and owner of Craft Restaurants Ltd., was one of three Midwest chefs to have recipes featured in the November/December issue of Midwest Living. The first of two recipes contributed is for porchetta, a pork belly roast flavored with fresh fennel, rosemary, thyme and more. Craft also gives readers a recipe for Vin Brulé, a mulled wine that will be perfect for holiday parties.

Scape American Bistro released its fall menu in October. Filled with seasonal ingredients, the new items include dishes such as braised pork belly with creamy wild mushroom risotto with a Madeira wine sauce.
