This Week In Fashion: Wai Ming Launches At Neiman and The Living Fit Expo Is Back At Plaza Frontenac

The Living Fit Expo is back at Plaza Frontenac and will feature a fashion show showcasing fitness and spa-wear from some of the locale’s top retailers. Giveaways during the show include spa and resort trips as well as health and wellness packages to destinations including the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa in Arkansas, and The Spa at Red Frog Beach Island Resort in Panama. The show and drawing starts at 1pm, and entries can be made from 10am until noon. Center Court, Plaza Frontenac

St. Louis-based designer Emily Koplar announced this week that her line, Wai Ming, will premiere at Neiman Marcus this spring. The contemporary womenswear label is set to be a part of a test buy within their top stores. Product is slated to hit stores in late February/March.

Brown Shoe Company brand, Naturalizer is set to launch a spring collaboration with HGTV interior designer David Bromstad. Bromstad worked with Naturalizer to bring his fresh, colorful designs to life in a series of playful and fun shoes and accessories. Bromstad, host of HGTV’s “Color Splash,” created an original painting that comes to life in the collection of flats, wedges, flip-flops, handbags and wallets. The line will be available in stores on March 1.

  • After 30 years at Plaza Frontenac, jewelry boutique YLANG-YLANG Fine Jewelry will relocate to the Colonial Marketplace development on Ladue Road. The new space will feature a “French Ocean” design concept, coffee bar, hangout spots for men and kids, and more.
  • Children’s boutique City Sprouts is also plotting a move from its location in The Delmar Loop to the Colonial Marketplace this spring. The revamped location will focus on higher-end clothing brands, books, toys, handcrafted furniture, and unique essentials.
  • Hot Mama, a boutique catering to fashionable moms, will open its second location this spring in Chesterfield. The new location will be a welcome addition to their original space located at Plaza Frontenac. Brands include Tarte, Kensie, Billabong, Free People, BB Dakota, French Connection and more.
