Garbage Bag Gala, June 25
The annual Garbage Bag Gala presented by The Salvation Army takes place this Friday featuring the best of the best recycled fashions created by 20 talented fashion designers. The competition will take place at Moulin event space (2017 Chouteau) at 7pm and will benefit The Salvation Army’s homeless and social-services programs. Garbage Bag Gala tickets are available through Eventbrite.

Saint Louis Socialites Fashion Weekend, June 25-26
The two-day event presented by Fashion Unplugged presents a runway show and black tie event to benefit Annie Malone charities. High Fashion’s Night Out takes place on Friday at the Chase Park Plaza Pool Terrace at 7pm, and will feature local designers, celebrity stylists and more. The Socialites Fashion Ball will take place from 8pm-12am at Barnett on Washington Avenue. Tickets for both events can be purchased at Shi Salon, Honey’s Child Boutique or on the web.

Artisan Anarchy, June 25-27
Another Artisan Anarchy event will set up shop this weekend at MidRivers Mall in St. Peters. Several local vendors will be selling their unique selection of wares, with products including wood furniture, jewelry, oil paintings, gifts and more. Giveaways will include various items from the vendors including a table from Furniture Farm as the grand finale on Sunday.  Entry tickets will be given at the show for the drawing.  Winners need not be present to win. Vendors will be located across from V-Stock and throughout the mall from Friday through Sunday.

What’s Next:

Pins and Needles, August 2
Rebranded and revamped, Pins and Needles is sure to be one of the top fashion show events of the summer and will feature four designers who will compete for a spot at one of October’s Saint Louis Fashion Week events among other prizes. St. Louis menswear designer Paulie Gibson will be headlining the event, and a selection of local fashion industry pros will be judging the contestants in categories including design, construction and saleability. The show kicks off at 7pm at the Gallery 400 event space at 400 Washington Avenue. Tickets are available online and at the door.

West Model & Talent Model Search Event, Aug. 2
St. Louis-based West Model and Talent Management will host a model search event at St. Louis Premium Outlets on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 1-4pm in the Center Court. Current models will show off the latest looks from some of the mall retailers, and new models will have a chance to connect with the agency on a face-to-face basis.  For more information, visit West Models on the web.
