Michael Drummond’s Showroom Grand Opening and Trunk Show, July 17
Michael Drummond welcomes shoppers and guests into his new showroom located within the Skif International building at 2008 Marconi Avenue on The Hill. Attendees will get the chance to view the space and browse his newest collection of summer gear. Wine and light bites will be provided. 6-9pm.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, July 18-Aug 3
Not your average sale, the Anniversary event at Nordstrom offers shoppers first-chance discounts on hundreds of newly released fall designer items and collections. Customers will get the chance to stock up their closets and shop brands including rag & bone, Vince, Frye, Rebecca Minkoff, Tumi, Michael Kors, J Brand, Hugo Boss, Diane Von Furstenberg and more. Prices will only last for two weeks, with all merchandise returning to regular price on Aug. 4. View our list of must-haves and plan to hit the store sooner than later for the best selection. Hint: Nordstrom Rewards members will be able to shop the sale nearly a week early, beginning July 10!
Marta’s Tent Sale, July 18-19
Deep discounts on designer merchandise and more make the tent sale at Marta’s Ellisville location a must-stop this weekend. Thousands of items will be up for grabs and shoppers will also be able to enjoy an early-bird special from 7am-8am on July 18, with a $10 donation to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital. The event runs from 8am-7pm on Friday, July 18, and 10am-5pm on Saturday, July 19 at 1352 Clarkson/Clayton Center.
Handmade Happy Hour: Summer in the City, July 18
The quarterly Handmade Happy Hour event gets steamy this time around offering up live entertainment and over 50 purveyors of handmade and locally sourced goods while taking over 13th Street and Washington Avenue. D.I.Y. activities, Pinnacle Vodka samples and specials from nearby businesses will also be offered. A VIP experience ticket ($40, with 50 percent of the proceeds going toward the Coolfire Foundation) gets you open bar with Pinnacle Vodka, Skinnygirl Wine, and local beer plus tastings from St. Louis restaurants on the first floor of the Knickerbocker Building at 1300 Washington Avenue. What’s Your Wonderland? Fashion Show, July 18
Fashion Marketing students at The Art Institute of St. Louis present “What’s Your Wonderland,” a fashion exhibition taking place on Friday, July 18 from 6:30pm-9pm. Participating designers include Hanger Society Vintage, Rachel Cox, Brianna Woods and more. General admission and VIP tickets are available. The event will take place on campus at 1520 S. 5th Street in St. Charles.
F2 = Food + Fashion Presents Abaya Dake at Modesto, July 20
The second in the fashion and food lovers event series, F2, brings together 2014 Saint Louis Fashion Week Emerging Design Competition People’s Choice Award Winner Abaya Dake and Chef Carlos Hernandez of Modesto Tapas Bar & Restaurant. Guests will be served a four-course meal inspired by the budding designer, plus two cocktails that are part of a ticket package in which a portion of the proceeds with benefit Pedal the Cause.
