Fall Into Fashion at the St. Louis Galleria—Hosted by Virginia Kerr, this show officially kicks off fall’s installment of Saint Louis Fashion Week. The runway show features looks from the St. Louis Galleria’s top stores. After seeing the runway shows, you’ll be encouraged to shop to ensure your closet is fully stocked for the rest of the Saint Louis Fashion Week shows. One hundred percent of proceeds goes to Haven House St. Louis.  The show will be held this Thursday, Sept. 26. Cocktails will begin at 6pm and the runway show will promptly begin at 7pm. If you haven’t secured your seat just yet be sure to stop by the Saint Louis Fashion Week website to get tickets before they’re gone for good.

JudeFrances Designer Showcase at Elleard Heffern—In celebration of 100 years of stellar business, Elleard Heffern is packing their fall season full of exciting designer showcases. The family-run business is currently in their third generation of business. This Thursday, Sept. 26 the fine jeweler is welcoming JudeFrances. The designer brand is known for their stunning designs and high-quality pieces made of the most luxurious materials. The showcase will be available to view and purchase from 9:30am-7pm. Elleard Heffern is located in the 101 South Hanley Building, across from the J. Buck’s lobby. Complimentary parking is available on an adjacent surface lot or garage.

Indulge at Plaza Frontenac—Hosted by Angie Mock and the second show in the highly anticipated fall fashion week round-up, this show will feature looks from Plaza Frontenac’s top stores. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to SSM Cardinal Glennon. Looks seen on the runway will immediately be available for purchase at participating stores. The show, held this Friday, Sept. 27, will begin at 6pm with a cocktail reception in the center atrium. The runway show gets started at 7pm. If you haven’t snagged your tickets yet, indulge yourself before it’s too late.

Celebrate Style at the Contemporary Art Museum—Celebrate Style, a fashion show and upscale cocktail party, will benefit Siteman Cancer Center’s Young Women’s Breast Cancer Program and Director’s Discovery Fund. The fashion show will feature local boutiques Dimvaloo, Ivy Hill, Vie Boutique, Paperdolls, Moris Men’s Shop and The Gap as well as local designers, Sierra Moses and Paulie Gibson. The event kicks off at 6pm this Friday, Sept. 27 at the Contemporary Art Museum located at 3750 Washington Blvd. Tickets start at $40 and are available online.

Glam Rock Event at Saks Fifth Avenue—This Saturday, Sept. 28, Saks Fifth Avenue is hosting an event for fashion-lovers everywhere. Attendees are invited to enjoy light bites and Champagne while Diane Von Furstenberg stylists provide you with a chic new look, head-to-toe. Once you’ve been dressed to impress, you can make your way to the nail and blow-dry bars to complete your look. Thankfully this event runs from 12pm-5pm leaving you perfectly on trend and ready for the third runway show of STLFW. This event is part of Saks’ Contemporary Week.

Project Runway Fashion Show—Held on stage at the Fabulous Fox Theater, this runway presentation will feature the collections of Project Runway alums Laura Kathleen, Michael Drummond, Casanova, Anthony Ryan Auld, April Johnston, Viktor Luna and Joshua McKinley. The night will kick off with a special presentation from local resort-wear designer team Scarlett Collection. Cocktail reception begins at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are moving fast and so should you if you plan to attend one of the most anticipated shows of the STLFW season.

Style In The Loop—Local designers Michelle Sansone, Michael Shead, Jessica Affsprung, Whitney Manney, Conjetta, Scarlett Designs, Ashley Ulcini, AJ Thouvenot, Mekhat and Devil City will literally stop traffic with their fabulous collections this Sunday, Sept. 29 in the Delmar Loop. This fashionable street festival will run from 1pm-6pm with the runway show taking place at 4pm in front of Meshuggah Cafe. Devil City, who will be debuting their namesake line, will be open all day with classic americana looks for men, women and kids. Secure your street cred and your tickets here.

Word on the Street

  • Local designer Ola Hawatmeh of Ola Styles showed her Spring/Summer collection just a few short weeks ago during NYFW. The star-studded event included fashion maven Patricia Field and was held at the lower-east-side hotspot, the DL Lounge. Ola’s latest collection is short, edgy and classic and included her signature vibrant swimwear.
  • Downtown boutique Bluebird Apparel is moving up—uptown that is. The locally focused store is packing up and heading to 6635 Delmar in The Loop. A store-wide moving sale is being held currently until they officially close their doors Downtown on October 8. Stay tuned to Style Notes for grand re-opening details and other events.
