Jan. 28: Copper Cuffs with Jenny Walker
If you ever wanted to learn the art of metalsmithing, this class is for you. Join St. Louis-based artist and metalsmith Jenny Walker for a few hours on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Union Studio where she will teach a beginners level class on the basics of metalworking. Jan. 30: SLAM Underground presents Soundsuits and Sock Monkeys
In an art lab event combining music, art and fashion, SLAM Underground presents Soundsuits and Sock Monkeys, which allows you to take your Nick Cave exhibit viewing experience to the next level. The Upcycle Exchange will be hosting a DIY creation station; guests are invited to view the Nick Cave exhibit with an I-spy seek and find; snap pics in the Photomaton photo booth and enjoy musical selections by Black James, 18andCounting and Syna So Pro. Jan. 30-31: Cash + Carry
The two-day fashion event that will restock your wardrobe with goods from local boutiques is almost here (and we couldn’t be any more excited)! Shoppers will rejoice to find all of their favorite stores in one place, clearing up their stock to make room for new spring merchandise. The event kicks off on Friday from 6-9pm with a special preview event, with a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting Friends of Wings; and on Saturday from 9am-4pm. Feb. 1: Winter Pop-Up Shop
For fans of vintage (and super low prices), mark your calendars for Sunday’s Winter Pop-Up Shop that will take place from 12-5pm at HandleBar in The Grove. Several of St. Louis most avid clothing and vintage collectors are purging their collections, offering up unbeatable finds at prices that are equally as impressive. Make it a Sunday Funday to remember by staying for brunch and a cocktail: HandleBar will be offering $4 mimosas and Bloody Marys as well as half-price breakfast crepes during the event.
