This Week In Fashion: Memorial Day Events and ALIVE's Annual Hot List Party Announced
Saturday, May 24, Saks Fifth Avenue hosts a trunk show event for monogrammed jewelry designer, GoldenThread, from 10-5pm. GoldenThread offers an extensive collection of customizable jewelry for babies, kids, teens and adults.
The 7th annual Spring to Dance Festival kicks off Thursday, May 22 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri St. Louis. The three-night extravaganza features performances by over 30 dance companies. Each night is a new event, Thursday through Saturday, beginning at 5:30pm. The 42nd Annual Gypsy Caravan takes place this Memorial Day, May 26 from 7am to 5pm at a new location—the St. Charles Family Arena. Shop hundreds of vendors offering up antiques, treasures and trinkets in support of the St. Louis Symphony. A peek and purchase event will be held the night before from 5-7pm for shoppers who are looking to get ahead of the game. The Grafton Riverside Flea Market hosts dozens of vendors along Front Street in Grafton, Illinois this weekend, May 24-25. Wares up for grabs include antiques, collectibles, glassware, tools, furniture and more. 9am-5pm.

With the summer heat comes ALIVE Magazine’s annual Hot List Party, celebrating the winners of the June Hot List issue during a poolside bash at the new luxury apartments, Cortona at Forest Park. - St. Louis designer resale boutique, Rung, hosts a one-day-only Memorial Day sale on Monday, May 26 beginning at 10am. All items will be 75 percent off, with proceeds supporting St. Louis chapter of American Gold Star Mothers.
- Meka Boutique has re-opened as of May 1 with a new owner. Meg Meyer, who opened Meka in 2010, aims to keep the change in ownership as seamless as possible and is not anticipating any change in the business with the exception of “a new friendly face.”
