This Week In Fashion: Holiday Shopping Events Kick Off And Swedlife Pops-Up At Strange Donuts

Nov. 5: “Dancing with Pearls” Reception at 10denza
Join CWE boutique 10denza for a Fall Fete’ for Muriel Eulich’s latest Collection of Stunning Watercolor Paintings and Prints entitled “Dancing with Pearls.” Karen Daniel will also be on site to showcase her line, Tess Jewelry, an exquisite collection of handmade pieces that are just as much fashion as they are art. The free event will take place from 5-8p at 44 Maryland Plaza.
Nov. 6: Swedlife x Mishka Pop-up at Strange Donuts
The self proclaimed “Sultans of Swag” of Loop hub Swedlife are popping up at Strange Donuts (Maplewood) on Thursday along with top national streetwear brand Mishka, who has partnered with both locally owned businesses to release an exclusive line of gear for the occasion. Strange Donuts will also be releasing a “done” to compliment the occasion. The event kicks off at 9pm with an after party right down the street at Orbit Lounge. 2709 Sutton Blvd.
Nov. 6: Fall Crawl at Colonial Marketplace
Ivy Hill, Frill, SOLE and Dimvaloo will be offering attractions and incentives on Thursday from 6-8pm:
- Visit Frill for some Spiced Cider Cocktail and a Tarot card reader as well as an additional 15 percent off sale items.
- Ivy Hill will be offering wine, snacks, 15 percent off already reduced items and a free gift with $100 purchase.
- Stop by SOLE for some cheese, crackers, wine and a $50 Fall Crawl Adventure card.
- Dimvaloo will have healthy treats and an additional 15 percent off sale items for you to enjoy.
- BYRD and the Women’s exchange will also be open this evening for shopping.
Nov. 7: Happy Holidays Boutique
The Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 4th Annual Happy Holidays Boutique on Friday, Nov. 7 from 12-7pm. The Boutique will offer over 100 vendors in categories including jewelry, books, spa and skincare items, handmade items, kitchenware, women’s clothing and accessories, linens, candles, gourmet food items, home décor, and more. As a bonus, a Ladies Happy Hour will be held from 4-7pm including specials with free drinks, and gift for first 100 attendees after 4pm. This event is free and will be held at the Holiday Inn SW, 10709 Watson Road.
Nov. 8: The Clover Boutique Celebrates 1 Year
The Clover is celebrating its one year anniversary this Saturday, Nov 8 featuring fancy birthday cakes from Cravings and specialty mimosas. No purchase necessary to celebrate! The party lasts all day from 11a-6p at 8150 Big Bend Blvd.
Nov. 8: Well Crafted
Well Crafted merges makers, whiskey and more, and will take over the entire Power Plant building (1419 Carroll St.), including Climb So Ill, Element, and The Machine Hall. Guests will enjoy interactive and intellectual programming throughout the space including discussions and speakers on the topics of food, active living, craft goods and style. Tickets include whiskey, beer and food sampling, shopping from top local vendors and discussion panels with a roster of industry experts. Nov. 8: HoliDIY
The St. Louis Craft Mafia presents their first holiday shopping event of the season, HoliDIY at the Mad Art Gallery (2727 S. 12th Street) on Saturday, Nov. 8. Guests are invited to shop an impressive list of makers as well as partake in fresh BBQ by Capitalist Pig. Listen to live music, and enjoy a delicious Hot Chocolate Bar whose proceeds benefit Tenth Life Cat Rescue. The Rack + Clutch fashion truck will also be on site.
Nov. 9: Holiday Hair Show
State Beauty Supply of St. Louis’ annual Holiday Hair Show & Style Off competition brings beauty expert Ammon Carver to St. Louis. Carver, Creative Director of L’ANZA Hair Care, will be sharing his tips and tricks on dynamic design trends and four local stylists will be showcased as they compete to be the 2014 Style Off Champion. The event will take place at Plush on Sunday and tickets can be purchased through State Beauty Supply on the web.
