Aug. 26-29: Missouri Style Week
Join Missouri Style Week for the launch of its 2015 festivities beginning on Wednesday with a new expansion to Columbia. The week will feature a vendor shopping experience and a runway show at Columbia’s Plaza Event Center at Parkade, followed by two additional nights of fashion in St. Louis County at the Westport Plaza Pavilion. The event combines both rising stars and emerging designers from the Midwest, including Nasheli Juliana, Alexis Cook, Barbara Bultman, Tiffany Rae, IHeart Fink, Abaya Dake and Richard Cotto. Aug. 27: Fall Decor Launch Party at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams featuring Mosby
On Thursday from 6–9 pm at the Plaza Frontenac location of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Mosby designer Jake Spurgeon will be in attendance to discuss design, use of space and lower level remodels. Guests will enjoy cocktails, whiskey, wine and hors d’oeuvres, and enter to win raffle items that match the spirit of the evening. All proceeds from the raffle and auction will be donated to Variety Children’s Charity, an iconic organization who’ve been helping disabled children for more than 80 years. Sept. 19: Lavelle Denim Launch
Lindenwood University graduate and fashion designer Stephen Curd returns to St. Louis from Chicago for the official launch of his newest venture, Lavelle Denim, for the first stop of The Traveling Tailor Pop-Up Shop at Bronx-Diba in Earth City. The event will highlight the brand’s first full collection and allow new customers to try on jeans with the assistance and guidance of the designer himself.
