Garbage Bag Gala—The Salvation Army hosts its second annual Garbage Bag Gala this Friday August 2 from 7pm-11pm at the Moonrise Hotel. The Gala will shine a light on the Salvation Army’s homeless services and emergency social service programs. Models will showcase designs by local designers such as Project Runway’s A.J. Thouvenot. Designs must be made from garbage bags and duct tape and will be judged by a panel of local fashion industry experts. For more information and tickets visit here. Sinead Lawlor Exhibition—Craft Alliance’s Fashion Lab is bringing Irish designer Sinead Lawlor to St. Louis this weekend for an amazing trunk show to kick off the exhibit that will run at The Grand Center Gallery, Kranzberg Arts Center from August 2—August 25. Lawlor’s designs have graced the pages of Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue Italia, L’Oficiel Turkey, Style.com, and the New York Times. Stevie Boi Presents: Leather—Celebrity Fashion Eyewear Designer, Stevie Boi is coming to St. Louis this Saturday August 3 to present his latest collection simply deemed, Leather at Just John Nightclub. A designer meet and greet will begin at 8pm followed by an explosive outdoor fashion show starting at 10pm. The edgy eyewear designer is best known for dressing the celebrity eyes of Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj. Danger Schmanger Tee Release Party—Local screen printing company Danger Schmanger will be hosting a party this Saturday August 3 from 7pm-10pm at the Livery Company on Cherokee Street. The company will be eight new designs printed on vintage-style clothing ranging from various styles of tees to hoodies. Prices range from $18-$37 for the locally printed pieces. Strange Donuts will provide creative sweet snacks while Photo Booth STL provides free photo booth sessions for attendees. Danger Schmanger provides internships to local city high school and college students that have an interest in the arts. Their goal is to provide the students with the necessary skills to take their passion to the workforce. The Livery Company is located at 3211 Cherokee Street.

  • Taubman Prestige Outlets Open to Public—The long-awaited outlets located in Chesterfield Valley will finally open to the masses just in time for tax-free weekend.
  • Lingerie Boutique, Clair de Lune comes to Ladue—The boutique based out of Overland Park, KC is best known for its upscale European-style lingerie and bras. The boutique will offer several brands that are new to St. Louis such as Aubade, Chantelle, Panache, Stella McCartney, Lise Charmel, Eberjey, and many more. The store is slated to open by mid-August and will be located at 9727 Clayton Road.
  • Saint Louis Make-up Artist Launches New Cosmetic Line—Nettie Kelley former MAC Make-up artist and owner of Nettie Kelley Studio has launched her own cosmetic line. The St. Louis based artist was recently named “St. Louis’ Finest Make-up Artist” by Elle magazine. The collection will be made up of glamorous colors, textures and product names.
  • Clover Canyon arrives at 10Denza for Fall—The trendy Central West End boutique has added a heavy hitter to their fall line-up of vendors. The LA-based line best known for their vivid prints and streamlined silhouettes will hit the racks of 10Denza starting this August.
