Fashion Group International (FGI) St. Louis presents a Ready-To-Wear Trend Presentation for Fall/Winter 2014 on Wednesday, April 30 from 6-8pm. The event will take place at the Regional Arts Commission and will feature a panel discussion by three of the area’s top designers: Laura Kathleen, Emily Koplar of Wai Ming and Paulie Gibson—moderated by swimwear expert Lori Coulter. On Saturday, May 3, Explore Urban Living presents the 2014 Downtown Living Tour that allows guests an exclusive look into over 10 unique homes in the loft district community of Downtown St. Louis. St. Louis area fashion design programs are wrapping up the year with their annual Senior Fashion Show events, a few of which take place this weekend.

  • Lindenwood University’s Spring VIP Fashion Show will take place Saturday, May 3 at the Emerson Black Box Theatre inside Scheidegger Center at 8pm. The event will feature the final collections of graduating seniors. More information and tickets can be found through the university website.
  • Washington University hosts Sam Fox School’s 85th Annual Fashion Design Show on May 4 at 6pm, showcasing senior collections of 26 aspiring designers in the Ballroom Theater of WUSTL’s 560 Music Center. 560 Trinity Avenue

Top independent St. Louis charter school, Lift For Life Academy, presents the 4th Annual Celebrating Success Fashion Show and luncheon at the Ritz in Clayton on May 4 from 12-3pm. Lift for Life is the only area high school that provides a fashion design course as part of their regular curriculum, taught by local designer and celebrity Laura Kathleen. All of the event proceeds will support the high-performing school and its mission to provide an unbeatable education to students in need. For tickets and information, visit the event website.

Shop Talk

A Brunch Soiree with jewelry designer Lily Dawson will take place Sunday, May 4 at BLUSH boutique in Kirkwood. Guests will be able to shop the designer’s full collection while enjoying cocktails and brunch bites from 11am-2pm. 110 North Clay

The Clover presents a trunk show by designer Susana Monaco at their Webster Groves space on Thursday May 1 from 4-8pm.
