Oct. 8: Coat for a Cause
Mesa Home will be selling coats for one night only to benefit The Pink House, which has evolved from a Beyond Housing residential property into the community arts project next door. Participants of all ages intersect with peers, parents, artists and other resources to participate in collaborative arts activity that draws upon the creative freedom and interests of area residents, especially youth. All coats will be on sale Thursday, Nov. 8 from 6-8pm for $20 a piece with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward The Pink House.

Oct. 14: BudShop presents Under the Stars
The BudShop in Ballpark Village will host Under the Stars on Oct. 14, a shopping event featuring live music, complimentary beer and hors d’oeuvres, goodie bags and free valet. Bop to music by Evan Cole in the Brewhouse biergarten as you survey booths set up with clothes and accessories from boutiques including Codi, 10denza, Paisley, Splash, Lusso, It’s Easy As Pie and the BudShop itself. The event is set to begin at 6pm and last until 9pm. A portion of each purchase you make will go to the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation.

Oct. 14: F2 Food x Fashion
Brainchild Events once again presents F2: Fashion x Food on Oct.14 at The Tavern of Fine Arts. The night’s specialty menu will be influenced directly by couture garments. Enjoy a multi-course meal of gourmet plates by executive chef Tyler Davis inspired by the collections of local designers as you simultaneously view the collections of two local designers. Each course of dinner will arrive paired with several fashionable looks to peruse while you eat. Featured designers include winners of the Pins and Needles design competition: Barbara Bultman, the Grand Prize winner, and Alexis Cook, the People’s Choice Award winner.

Oct. 17: STLFW Boutique Hop
Kick off Saint Louis Fashion Week with a guided visit to the chicest boutiques in the city on Oct. 17 from 10am-4pm. Boutiques on the chauffeured tour will offer special discounts, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in honor of the festive week. Stock your wardrobe with the latest fashions or merely tag along to survey the latest trends. Featured boutiques include Blush, Marta’s/MOD, Vie, Splash, Ivy Hill, Lusso, Fauxgerty, and The Vault. Oct. 22: Saint Louis Fashion Week Kickoff Party
ALIVE Magazine and Saint Louis Fashion Week have teamed up with West County Center to highlight Fall 2015’s most exciting (and wearable!) trends. Don’t miss the first runway show of the season on Oct. 22 from 5:30-11pm. Attendees will get the chance to view the latest in fall styles from West County Center stores. Spot something covetable? Nov. 4: Caleres Emerging Designer Award Presented by Saint Louis Fashion Fund
Five finalists from all over the country will compete for a $25,000 cash grant awarded by Caleres and the Saint Louis Fashion Fund. Designer finalists include Julie Haus and Jason Alkire (Haus Alkire), Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta (Eckhaus Latta), Azede Jean-Pierre (Azede Jean-Pierre), Katharine Polk (Houghton) and Jordana Warmflash (NOVIS). Who will take home the prize?

Nov. 5: Wear It Fashion Challenge
Ten designers. One $5,000 cash award. Local designer finalists will create a look inspired by a work of art, showcasing their final design during a special opening event at The Luminary during STLFW. One winner, to be determined by an esteemed panel of judges, will win a $5,000 cash award presented by ALIVE Magazine. Finalists: Michael Drummond, Nina Ganci, AJ Thouvenot, Nasheli Ortiz, Qun Liu, Destini Gamble, Barbara Bultman, Alexis Cook, Leah Babette and Tiffany Rae.
