Somers Jewelry Trunk Show at The Silver Lady

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale—Fall is in full swing this week at the Seattle-based fashion retailer. The annual Anniversary Sale kicks off for cardholders on Wednesday July 10. Nordstrom cardholders have a chance to shop the sale before it opens to the public on July 19. Daisy Clover’s Wine, Cheese and Rock ‘n Roll—Join the Webster Groves boutique this Thursday July 11 from 5pm-7pm to launch the new House of Gods t-shirts. The UK based line was launched in 2006 by BUDDHISTPUNK, the successful counter-culture label popular in the ’90s. House of Gods focuses on hand-finished t-shirts emblazoned with iconic rock ‘n roll images. All t-shirts will be 20% off during the event. Somers Trunk Show at the Silver Lady—Head to The Silver Lady’s Central West End location this Friday and Saturday to meet Hillary Fitzpatrick, Somers Jewelry Chief Executive Director. Fitzpatrick will show the latest designs and colors in the Santa Fe based line’s collection. She will be displaying an array of rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings. The trunk show will run from 12pm-8pm on Friday July 12 and 2pm-8pm on Saturday July 13. The Silver Lady is located at 4736 McPherson Ave. in the Central West End.

Shop Talk

  • Moris Fashions New Location—The Central West End menswear retailer has changed its location and its name. Now located at 226 N. Euclid, the store is now called Moris Men’s Shop. The move is one part of a major re-brand for the store, which will carry a men’s club ambiance, boasting a large television, vintage liquor bottles and a sixty-year old bar. Moris will add some new designers to its roster as well, some of whom will be exclusive to the St. Louis boutique. A grand opening party is currently in the works.   • Miss Wu Launch at Nordstrom Galleria—Jason Wu will launch his second capsule collection exclusive to Nordstrom, Miss Wu, this week at the Galleria. The fall 2013 collection will consist of 45 pieces and range from $195-$995 retail. The line will be chock full of ’60s inspired shapes in graphic prints and bold colors. Miss Wu will only be available in 49 stores nationwide and available online. The collection will be available at Nordstrom in the Saint Louis Galleria starting Wednesday July 10.
  • Byrd Style Lounge Under New Ownership—Julie Stotlar is handing over Byrd to a third bird in charge. Fundraising and event planner Emily Elbert is taking the reigns at the high-end consignment boutique located in downtown Clayton. Elbert’s longtime love affair with couture fashion and her background in relationship building should prove to be a perfect match for the nationally acclaimed boutique. Byrd Style Lounge is located at 8117 Maryland Avenue in Clayton.
