The Brand-New Strange Days Brewing Co. In Kansas City
The new Kansas City-based brewery Strange Days Brewing Co. celebrated its grand opening just a few months ago and appears to have already developed its niche. The new brewhouse is located in the city’s River Market neighborhood, and particularly unique for a brewery, Strange Days opens early on the weekends to broadcast European soccer games where sports-lovers in the middle of America can catch all the action.
The brewery’s Greenwich Line is the perfect brunch brew, a creamy milk stout with cold-brewed coffee. The international theme also carries over into the brewery’s meticulously crafted offerings, like the Moroccan Wit: a delicately-flavored libation with Moroccan mint green tea, orange peel and toasted coriander. There’s also Daydream, a French-inspired Saison brewed with honey, orange peel and peppercorn, and dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria.
The three entrepreneurial friends who founded Strange Days and brewed as a hobby, are the latest installment in the Kansas City craft beer renaissance, prepared with its army of boil kettles and fermenters.
