STLFW + St. Louis Design Week Present “A Point of View in Design, Fashion and Photography from the Middle of America”
St. Louis Design Week celebrates our local design community with a variety of panel discussions, workshops, presentations, open houses and other events Oct. 3-9, making it the perfect outlet for creatives of all types to network and stay connected. On Oct. 5, Saint Louis Fashion Week teams up with STLDW, bringing together several diverse and influential professionals to discuss a topic we all know well: what it’s like to live and work in the Midwest.
On that day, ALIVE Magazine’s executive editor Rachel Brandt will moderate “A Point of View in Design, Fashion and Photography from the Middle of America,” a panel discussion that will feature five influential creatives from the region: Michael Drummond, apparel designer; Brian Simpson, owner, East + West; Kevin Kelly, owner, Anti-Agency; Psyche Southwell, fashion influencer and creator, EconomyofStyle.net; and Attilio D’Agostino, co-founder, editor-in-chief and photographer, ALIVE Media Group. The panelists will discuss how St. Louis shapes and inspires them and the ways in which every artist’s point of view is influenced by location. In addition, each panelist will offer their unique perspectives on building a successful personal brand in the middle of America and why drawing on strong Midwestern values contributes to creative prowess.
Attend “A Point of View in Design, Fashion and Photography from the Middle of America” on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 8:30-10am, at St. Louis Public Library. Learn more about St. Louis Design Week and the entire event roster on STLdesignweek.com.
