STLFW Designer Spotlight: Eva Franco
Los Angeles-based designer Eva Franco has made her mark on the fashion market. Franco immigrated to the United States as a young girl; born and raised in Transylvania, Romania and of Hungarian heritage, she discovered that her passion for designing clothing helped her express herself as she communicated with her American peers.
After graduating from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Franco went to Paris, where she continued her education as a design assistant for Etienne Brunel. It was when Franco moved to Los Angeles that she began crafting clothes for herself. Positive reinforcement from friends and strangers alike encouraged her to set up shop at a local flea market; this is where she was able to learn first-hand from her customer base how to truly celebrate the female form.
Franco’s line is the epitome of modern femininity. Her flirty silhouettes paired with sophisticated prints creates a perfect balance. Her line can be found in 800 stores domestically and internationally and all pieces are made in Los Angeles where the company is based.
Eva Franco will debut her latest collection at Saint Louis Fashion Week’s Industry Night on Thursday October 3 at Windows On Washington. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit STLFW.
