“Walking down the streets of St. Louis, I get so excited seeing a beautiful person wearing beautiful clothes,” says Jordyn Weiss, a young photographer and fashion-lover who has given that excitement an outlet by way of her Instagram page, @stlurbanstyle.

While Weiss spends most of her time working at OSO: a style lab in The Loop, in her free time, she shoots St. Louis area street style in that neighborhood and beyond, highlighting fashionable faces that inspire her. The project is a unique one, channeling widely popular sites and pages similar to those based in larger cities, like Face Hunter and The Satorialist. As her Instagram page continues to grow, so do her fans, who often share their features on their personal pages creating an active community of fashionable encouragement.

“I wanted a medium where I could showcase what I was seeing; a diverse, group of stylish individuals living in St. Louis,” says Weiss. “I make a point of photographing many different types of people, and my focus is more on urban street style rather than high-fashion.”
