STL Native To Present Pursecase On ABC’s 'Shark Tank'
STL native Jenn Deese and business partner Kelley Coughlan are set to present their product, Pursecase, on ABC’s “Shark Tank” tomorrow night—making St. Louis a representative on the show for the second time in a month.
Pursecase, a clutch and phone case built into one, gives access to your smartphone and most necessary essentials, like an ID and credit cards. The clutch also contains a compact mirror for on-the-go makeup checks. They are sold online in six colors for $29.
Deese and Coughlan wanted to build a product that focused on functionality and fashion to fit the needs of their careers in public relations. Last spring, the duo were able to raise more than $35K through Kickstarter to start production of the phone case/purse combo.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Deese grew up in Wildwood and attended Lafayette High School. She now resides in Los Angeles, owns and operates public relations agency Melrose PR and now Pursecase.
“Shark Tank” continues to reel in the most contemporary in entrepreneurial start-ups with the five self-made millionaire and billionaire investors. The investors include: Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec.
Will one of the panelists choose to invest in Pursecase? Find out this Friday, Nov. 22 on ABC at 8pm CST.
