St. Louis Arts Awards Kicked Off Its 25th Anniversary Last Night

Last night, the Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis kicked off the 25th St. Louis Arts Awards, which honors individuals, organizations and businesses “who achieve a legacy of artistic excellence and enrich St. Louis’ arts and cultural community,” according to the website.

The evening took place at the private home of the 2016 St. Louis Arts Awards co-chairs, Jim and Stacey Weddle.

Among this year’s honorees are: Agnes Wilcox of Prison Performing Arts for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts; Arthur and Helen Baer Charitable Foundation for Excellence in Philanthropy; and The Bosman Twins for Excellence in the Arts.

Also being honored are The Bach Society for Excellence in the Arts; Dr. Tim and Kim Eberlein as Champions of the Arts; Doug Erwin of Ferguson-Florissant School District for Art Educator of the Year; and Dr. Jacquelyn Lewis-Harris of University of Missouri-St. Louis for Arts Collaborator.

The 2016 Arts Awards will take place on Jan. 25 at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel, where honorees and guests will celebrate with a cocktail reception and dinner. Interested? Click here for more info and tickets.
