The sandwich shop—with origins in the environmentally conscious city of Boulder—recently gained accreditation from Green Dining Alliance. GDA, a restaurant sustainability certification program of St. Louis Earth Day, has a mission to enhance each diner’s experience and support local businesses. The Alliance works to engage restaurants in a process to increase environmental sustainability through tailored strategies, workshops and collaborations.

When the GDA certifies a restaurant, it’s looking at a variety of components that make a place truly sustainable—water conservation, energy conservation, sourcing and recycling & waste reduction. Snarf’s proudly sources its freshly baked bread from Fazio’s, which goes nicely with local beverages from Kaldi’s Coffee, Fitz’s Root Beer, Schlafly, Urban Chestnut and Charleville. Being innovators in the delivery industry, Snarf’s uses Smart Cars to deliver  fresh, tasty sandwiches, leaving a smaller carbon footprint than traditional delivery methods.

To celebrate their accreditation, Snarf’s has partnered with ALIVE to give you a taste of Snarf’s freshness.
