On Tuesday evening, Icelandic electronica-post rock group Sigur Rós performed for a large crowd at The Fabulous Fox Theatre. Known for its lead singer-and-guitarist Jónsi’s pure, falsetto vocals and unusual style of playing guitar with a cello bow, the band delivered a spectacular show complete with multi-layer sounds, a powerful and well-choreographed light display and emotionally evocative music.

Constantly focused on providing the crowd with memorable experiences, Sigur Rós easily transitioned from high-charged and sound-blasting tunes to more harmony-focused ethereal music with grace. At the end of the evening, fans were left with a mesmerizing finale, cheering and craving more sound.

Check out these photos from last night’s performance, and make sure to listen to the seventh and latest Sigur Rós album “Kveikur.
