A new full-service designer showroom has joined St. Louis’ fashion landscape. Owner Jan Givens announced yesterday that she is launching Showroom 314, a virtual showroom to market St. Louis designers across the country. Tapping into her background in fashion wholesale, retail and marketing, Givens will represent Showroom 314 designers at markets across the country, as well as provide consulting on critical wholesale and production elements—from pricing structure and line sheets to look books, key silhouettes, fabrics and fit.

Givens credits the incredible pool of local design talent as her inspiration for starting the showroom, which will launch with STL-based designer Laura Kathleen and another yet-to-be-named local talent. Givens plans to concentrate on STL designers first, but envisions expanding regionally as the showroom grows.

“The goal is to have a large presence at market,” Givens says. “But I’ll be working seven days a week for these designers, reaching out to retailers, traveling, attending trade shows and consulting with them on their collections.”

Follow Showroom 314’s progress on Facebook and Twitter. More information will be available on the website, which is coming soon.
