Shop Local and Celebrate Creatives at SOHA Studio & Gallery's Annual Holiday Show

With Thanksgiving around the corner, the urge to shop for holiday gifts is growing. Though there are incredible deals popping up around the city, I’m tapping into ALIVE’s November online focus—creativity—when making my shopping list. That means I’m locked into finding pieces that highlight and celebrate the creativity found right here in St. Louis.

With that in mind, my first stop this weekend is going to be SOHA Studio & Gallery’s holiday gift show, which offers its first look to the public tomorrow at 6-10pm. The event, which runs until Jan. 3, 2016 (which is great if you’re not a punctual gift-giver), will include works of art handcrafted by 80 local artists.

Though paintings are certainly part of the show, there’s so much more art to consider, like pottery (for mom), ornaments (for my brother living in the PNW), glasswork, photography (me!), sculpture and drawings. An added bonus: When you make a purchase, you’re able to walk away with your gift in hand, so there’s no extra waiting to get these goods where they need to go.
