Robust to Collaborate with STL Food Trucks This Summer

From April to July, Robust Wine Bar will be teaming up with four of STL’s favorite food trucks. First on the list: Guerrilla Street Food.

On April 27, Chef Brian Hardesty of GSF and Executive Chef Joseph Hemp of Robust will merge minds to create original dishes inspired by Filipino cuisine—something close to owner Arlene Browne’s heart.

“This first collaborative is especially dear to my wife Arlene, because of her Filipino heritage,” says Robust Owner/Certified Sommelier Stanley Browne. Choose between a fixed-price multi-course menu or mix and match with à la carte items. You’ll be able to pair your dish with a complimentary cocktail, glass of wine or beer, but you may want to stick to gin.

Gin is the spirit of The Philippines. The country consumes more of the piney liquor than any other in the world. Since Hardesty and Hemp are cooking up Filipino food, Natasha Bahrami (aka The Gin Girl) of Cafè Natasha will be creating a gin cocktail informed by her recent travels to the Philippines.
