Phillips 66 Just Launched a "66 Reasons to Love St. Louis" Campaign, and It's Awesome
We’re all about a little city-lovin’, and Phillips 66 kicked off a seriously cool “66 Reasons to Love Saint Louis” campaign this morning at Gaslight Theater (No. 26, “Entertainment in Gaslight Square”) that celebrates the best of the city’s eateries, neighborhoods, historical contributions, sports venues and arts hotspots. The list eschews the obvious and focuses on a super-curated selection of locals-in-the-know picks (sorry, Arch): Think Hi-Pointe Theatre (No. 52, “Historic Theaters”), Falstaff Brewery No. 5 (No. 50, “Northside Revitalization”) and other beloved gems.
To get into the campaign’s spirit, we sent two of our editorial interns, Cara Wegener and Lauren Sharp, out on the town to check out some of the hotspots for themselves. They’ll be taking a few selfies and writing up reports on their explorations during the next few days.
Phillips will also throw a big block party on Sept. 11 from 5-8pm in Strauss Park, along with a mural dedication ceremony. The 1,200-square foot work on the side of the KDHX building is by a local father-daughter team, Robert and Liza Fishbone, and continues the city’s fantastic street-art tradition (No. 4, “A City of Murals”).
