Parsimonia Celebrates Local With Monthly Designer Collaborations
Parsimonia store owner Beth Styles just celebrated the six-month anniversary of her South Grand storefront. Though the store features mid-century clothing and home decor, those aren’t her sole focuses. Each month Styles, a frequent fixture at eco-friendly and handmade markets, showcases accessories from a different St. Louis artisan.
March’s featured artist, Julia Schell of Julia, designs laser-cut wood earrings that appeal to fans of both geometric designs and “Dr. Who”‘s Tardis alike. The earrings have been a popular seller this month, according to Styles.
“She’s so fresh to the scene she doesn’t even have an Etsy store or website yet, so I’m really excited to get her some exposure!” she said.
But hurry—come April, the wooden jewelry will make way for retro hair bows and big, bright Peter Pan collars from Stephanie Larimer of Ruby Francis. Bow ties will also be available for that fashionable man in your life!
