Openings/Closings: Nadoz at Taubman Outlets, A New Barbecue Joint For Edwardsville And Carryout Pizza On Cherokee

Monday, Feb. 17: Shoppers at the Taubman Prestige Outlet Mall have a new coffee house and restaurant to check out, Nadoz Bakery + Café, which opened last week  in Chesterfield, Mo. This is the third location by owners Steven and Kathy Becker who have Nadoz locations at 3701 Lindell Blvd. in Midtown and also at 12 The Boulevard in Richmond Heights. The Chesterfield storefront offers a wide variety of breakfast items, gourmet burgers, grilled sandwiches, soups, salads and even crepes. Refuel during shopping marathons with a shot of caffeine at the Nadoz espresso bar or from a boost of antioxidants in their raw juices and unique smoothies. Monday, Feb. 24: Award-winning barbecue from Doc and Susan Richardson is now being dished up at Doc’s Smokehouse and Catering in Edwardsville, Ill. The couple took to the competitive barbecue circuit in 2007, and since then has won numerous accolades and become certified judges and representatives of the Kansas City Barbecue Society. The menu will have all of the traditional barbecue joint meats, sides and even homemade pies as well as a few modern riffs, such as the chimichanga with pork, beans, queso and their delicious sauce. March 2014: A carryout pizza shop called Master Pieza will soon join the ranks of new restaurants on Cherokee Street. According to chef and owner William Porter, every pizza he makes should be a special masterpiece for his guest to enjoy. Porter makes the dough and sauce from scratch and prefers to top his pizzas with Provel. The menu will have a wide array of toppings for pizza and will offer hot wings, French fries and options for children. Pizza will be available for pickup or delivery and Master Pieza will offer it by the slice or whole pie. April 2014: Grapeseed, a new casual neighborhood restaurant in South Hampton, will open this spring. Owner Ben Anderson intends to focus on an approachable menu with house-made items, small plates and full entrees as well as an impressive wine list and cocktail menu. Anderson has renovated the historic space and it will contain almost 80 seats inside along with additional tables on the two outdoor patios. 5400 Nottingham Ave., South Hampton.

As reported by St. Louis Magazine, Estancia Mexican Restaurant is opening on Chesterfield Airport Road in the former Tahoe Joe’s spot. Owner Mark Sesti has not set an opening date, but check back with The Dish for updates. 17258 Chesterfield Airport Rd., Chesterfield.

Sunday, March 2: Chill Frozen Yogurt announced they will close their last location at 7610 Wydown Blvd., Clayton.
