Closings

March 29: Benton Park’s Luvy Duvy’s Cafe served its last meals after eight years of service. The popular brunch and lunch spot spent its final days paying tribute to fans with T-shirts, favorite foods like ribs and more. As reported by Ian Froeb of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, owners Jackie Seal and Cassady Caldwell are consulting with the upcoming Howards in Soulard to keep the Luvy Duvy’s favorites alive.

However, the restaurant space will not be vacant for long, as Lilly’s – Music & Social House will be taking over starting Friday and Saturday nights this spring. The spot will serve as a community gathering place for ladies who love ladies and will serve a menu of cocktails, craft beer, pizza and other small plates in addition to live music. Lilly’s is owned by Kristen Goodman and her partner Elizabeth Fuchs (also known as Lilly), and recently met it’s $10,000 fundraising goal through Kickstarter2321 Arsenal St., Benton Park
